Snowden’s View on the Privacy of U.S. Citizens

I completely agree with Snowden. Even though the government and these phone services like Apple, Samsung and Google use their technology to look into the phones/devices of U.S. citizens to detect any illegal activity and potentially lower the risk of terrorism, it is still an invasion of privacy, especially for those who do not participate in any illegal activities.

In regards to the pandemic and being able to detect conversations about meeting up with someone even though that person knows they have tested positive for COVID, I think that idea is actually good in regards to ensuring safety, as long as the individual has given permission for their conversations to be monitored.
