I agree with the authors quote “it’s crucial to keep imagining that things could get better, and furthermore to imagine how they might get better” because you cannot continue to think negatively and cynically if you want to improve a situation. Approaching a problem with a “what the use” attitude will almost never help you solve it in the best way. Not only do you need to think in a more utopian way but also action must be taken. I dream all the time of a better world for the people in it but for one reason or the other I take little action. Not only does action need to be taken but unity must be had within a large sum of people. There was so much unity in the black community during the civil rights movement which is why a lot was done to improve our lives, it wasn’t because the majority was necessarily willing.
