Kim Stanley Robinson says, “It’s crucial to keep imagining that things could get better, and furthermore to imagine how they might get better.” I agree with this statement to the extent that work is being put in the help reform the situation. I do believe that optimism is a very key part in change because positivity is contagious and spreads based on others having positive outlooks. Utopian thinking is a part of the key to overcoming dystopia, but it is not the only portion. Overall, I believe that utopian thinking is a start to overcoming dystopias, but that is not the end.
