Edward “Ed” Snowden worked as a National Security Agency contractor. He outed info about the U.S. government tapping into servers for multiple media outlets including, but not limited to Google, Facebook, and Apple. These servers were used to spy on people’s audio, email, photographs, calls, text messages, documents, and connection logs. According to Edward, there is no privacy. Everything you do, say, search, etc are being monitored. From a personal perspective, I believe it’s absolutely true.
For example, have you ever been discussing something out loud to yourself or with someone around a phone or computer? For instance, an item you’d like to purchase… Let’s say a blender. How ironic is it that when you get on a media outlet an ad about a blender pops up? That isn’t a coincidence, it’s evidence.
Although most would consider Ed to be a whistle-blower or even a snitch I see him as a patriot and a hero and I pray history will remember him as such. This man is a hero for standing up for what he believes in: truth, fairness, and freedom. The points Ed touched on were spot on. There’s absolutely no point in voting out the monsters. A wise man, Mark Twain, once said that “If voting made a difference, they wouldn’t let us do it. ” and it’s 100% true.
Conclusively, whenever we speak on Edward Snowden label him a hero because he put his life and livelihood on the line to protect the citizens of the U.S. and their rights.
