After learning so much about dystopian societies this semester I define dystopia as a society where people are not allowed to live on their own terms, they arenāt able to be free and live a well adjusted life & they face oppression.
In the five faces of oppression we learned about multiple forms of oppression. The one that stuck out to me the most was powerlessness. I feel like having power over certain things in your life is a necessity. in the reading it says ā Paul is also designates a position in the division of labor and concomitant social position that allow personās little opportunity to develop an exercise skills (52).
When you canāt control certain things and ways on your mental health and other things around you. In in our two readings we also learn more about dystopian societies and how they can differ
