I personally believe the American higher education system to be a dystopia, and the constant criticism and backlash it receives is proof of that. Nowadays, millions of Americans are swallowed into large amounts of debt, just to obtain a job that doesn’t even pay them enough to get them out of it. The majority of institutions in the United States charge among the highest tuition costs in the world, with fees ranging from USD $45,0000 to USD $50,000 each year. This leads to students taking out student loans, which charge an insane interest rate! It truly feels like a cycle few can escape!
