I didn’t realize there were so many forms of government…. wow. Initially, I was only looking through the “types of democracy” list but I think in a world where “fair” and “free” don’t really mean fair and free, I thought I would expand my knowledge and read about the other forms of government. In my perfect world, we would be ruled by a group of people who are smart, and representative of the population. At this point in my life, I don’t personally understand what qualifies someone to be a public figure. Of course, you must have money for all the campaigning you will do, you must be likable, and for certain positions you, must be older than 35. With that being said, I think we should change our governemnt to a Geniocracy.
I want to be clear, I am not saying I do not like our current government.. although I don’t love it. I am simply saying we should 100% keep our sectors of governemnt, judicial, legistative, and executive, but instead of having one president and vice present, we should have a Geniocracy. The Wikipedia definition of a Geniocracy is a “term invented by the founder of Raëlism meaning rule by the intelligent; a system of governance where creativity, innovation, intelligence, and wisdom are required for those who wish to govern. Comparable to nomocracy.” Geniocracy is an oligarchical government and would allow us to have a standard of intelligence necessary to become one of the governing bodies of the US. In theory, this wouldn’t be determined by a standardized test, but rather by a bunch of tests that focus on different intellectual and problem-solving skills that would benefit the US people. In theory, the Geniocracy would also be representative of the population. I would say that the council must have one older adult (50+), one younger adult (2030), one woman, one man, two members from a minority group, one from a nonminority group, and one individual that would speak for members of lower SOS. Now, would this be a great idea in reality…. I don’t know. But at least the governemnt would represent everyone and hopefully that would put us one step closer to a “fair” and “free” system.
