A god-awful place

Dystopia definition: a system in which nothing works for anybody the way it morally (ideally) should, one in which nothing seems right.

I define a dystopia as a system because systems are the building blocks of societies. It is pretty much a given that a dystopia is the thematic opposite of a utopia. That is, a dystopia is a place where you pretty much hate every moment that you’re there. So, it makes sense for a dystopia to be bubbled down to a system. Then, you take the simplicity of a utopia (e.g. “Yayyyyy everything works the way it should morally and ideally!) and just reverse that. Boom, a dystopia.
