According to Robinson’s essay, I classify myself to be a utopian thinker. Robinson defines a utopian thinker to “imagine that things could get better, and furthermore to imagine how they might get better”. When thinking about any situation I tend to thing positively about what can make it better, how it will be good, and how to keep it good even if there might be a bad outcome. It all comes from mindfulness, focusing on a specific situation can improve compassion, and improve well-beings. It’s important to think positive during situations because it helps me develop resilience to handle tough situations like for example figuring out what medical or grad school to attend and bounce back rapidly after unpleasant events.
